Life Happens Podcast

We were recently interviewed by Kim Hegwood for the “Life Happens” podcast. In this episode we discuss what the Montessori Method is and how we have adapted it to create a positive and meaningful approach to dementia care. We discuss our backgrounds and the journey that led us to develop Brenner Pathways. A key part of our method involves placing something meaningful in a person's hands—an approach we detail in our books, “You Say Goodbye and We Say Hello: The Montessori Method for Positive Dementia Care” and “The Montessori Method for Connecting to People with Dementia: A Creative Guide to Communication and Engagement in Dementia Care.” In this episode we discuss how this simple yet powerful strategy enhances communication, engagement, and overall well-being. Tune in to learn how caregivers can apply these principles to create a more meaningful and enriching experience for their loved ones living with dementia.
